About AJ Medical

Sustainability

AJ Medical's future operations depend on the rest of the world's development and we want to do our utmost to be able to participate and influence this development positively. We strive to provide customers and patients with the best, safest product with the least possible global environmental impact, but also with a positive impact in terms of global social and economic development.

We strive to continuously improve environmental performance and work for the least possible resource consumption and emissions. We strive to influence manufacturers to continuously improve both the equipment's functions but also its electricity consumption, manufacturing materials, packaging and the possibility of reuse and recycling. We work constantly to think from a sustainability perspective in both ongoing and planned operations and strive for a perspective regarding the environmental impact during the life cycle of our products and services.

The choices we make should primarily provide positive changes in ecological, social and economic sustainability, regardless of which part of our operations it concerns. We use a holistic perspective when we make decisions and plan the business and all sustainability impact must then be weighed. This environmental and sustainability work applies throughout the organization and we actively cooperate and communicate this throughout the entire stage and set environmental requirements for manufacturers and subcontractors.

AJ Medical's values are based on the international conventions signed by Sweden. AJ Medical supports the principles of the ILO's eight core conventions (Nos: 29, 87, 98, 100, 105, 111, 138 and 182) and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

AJ Medical is committed to respecting internationally recognized standards of human rights. AJ Medical must at least comply with the ILO's core conventions and implement the UN's guiding principles for business and human rights. AJ Medical must follow routines that make it possible to detect and remedy if the company's operations might have a negative impact on human rights. We work in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 32, and the UN Convention against Corruption.

Our products and services must be manufactured under conditions that are compatible with the environmental protection legislation, work environment legislation, labor law (including legislation regarding the minimum wage) and social insurance protection that applies in the country of manufacture.

Should a third party be the cause of a negative impact on human rights, AJ Medical should immediately strive to use its influence to ensure that this negative impact is stopped and do its utmost to ensure that this does not happen again.

AJ Medical informs all employees about its sustainability policy and expects everyone in the business to strive to be complied with and followed in their daily work. AJ Medical also communicates clearly to suppliers and manufacturers that they are expected to comply with human rights and the other points mentioned above. To comply with our sustainability policy, we continuously request documentation, make visits to manufacturers and suppliers, visit factories and have close communication with the entire supply chain from manufacturer to end customer.

Those responsible for AJ Medical's policy for labor law conditions and human rights are the company's CEO and marketing manager. AJ Medical regularly reviews the business and maintains an ongoing dialogue with employees, manufacturers and suppliers and revises ongoing policies and routines as necessary.
